life of the party: grimes

i love that the female voice is back in a big way. grimes aka claire boucher's sound is reminiscent of bands like the sundays, mojave 3, gang gang dance and cocteau twins. sometimes even sounding like regina, stacey Q, and kirsty hawkshaw of opus III. the beats and keyboards all go so perfectly together. you just need to listen for yourself.

bloom

the new beach house album bloom is a damn good one. with notes of cocteau twins, yet maintaining that beautiful beach house sound - this album is a must have. it will be one of those albums that you will be playing non-stop and before you know it, summer is over and you are reminiscing over those tiny moments that made you incredibly happy. i am really excited to see them play this summer in san diego. until then, this album will be on repeat. if i were you, i would buy it today.
