MAKE ESCAPE

tor and i had a lovely stay at the make escape mid century modern cabin in big bear. i hadn't been to big bear since i was around 9 years old, so i was really excited to be heading back. the first thing we noticed when we walked in the door to this amazing little cabin was the decor. it combined both clean lines and coziness, which isn't always easy to achieve. the second thing i noticed was how incredibly clean it was. which is super important to me.

we were thrilled to find that there was both a cassette player and a turntable. tor and i took lots of cassette tapes and records with us. we spent our first night making dinner (all the kitchen essentials were included!), listening to music and drinking wine on the porch under the stars. it was the perfect night. on day two it rained which was a pleasant surprise (bonus coziness). on our last day there, the sun came out just in time to head to the local farmers market where i scored lots of beets and met the cutest doggy named blue.

this little cabin rental makes for cool getaway. it is perfect if you want to stay in and be cozy, if you want to getaway with your favorite group of people and BBQ under the clear mountain skies, or for a sweet, quaint minimoon that won't break the bank.

make escape is owned by kat and matt engel, who also own make collectives here in long beach. more info on the cabin here

keep dancing,
